Drumul
lui Nicolae Margineanu a început in 1905 în satul
Obreja si s-a sfârsit în anul 1980 la Cluj : a început
deci în imperiul Austro-Ungar, a fost martor al Unirii din
1918, a trait sub trei regi : Ferdinand, Carol al 2-lea si Mihai,
si a parcurs toate dictaturile din Romania de la cea regala la
cea legionara, apoi la cea Antonesciana si in final la cea comunista.
S-a nascut sub Frantz Iosef si a murit sub Ceausescu.
Nicolae Margineanu a fost student la psihologie la Universitatea
din Cluj si a facut stagii de specialitate post universitare la
Leptzig, Berlin, Hamburg, Paris, Londra, apoi ca bursier Rockefeller
doi ani in marile univesritati americane : Harvard, Yale, Columbia,
Chicago si Duke.
S-a reântors în tara si a ocupat catedra de psihologie
a Univesitatii din Cluj.
A fost arestat în 1948 si a stat 16 ani în închisoare
trecând prin infernul puscariilor : Malmaison, Jilava, Pitesti,
Aiud si Gherla.
Unul dintre cei mai mari psihologi romani. Saisprezece ani detinut
politic, cu o prodigioasa opera in ciuda destinului sau dramatic.

Margineanu’s journey started in 1905 in the village Obreja
and ended in 1980 in Cluj. He started under the Austro-Hungarian
domination, he was a witness of the 1918 Union, he lived under
3 kings: Ferdinand, Carol the 2nd and Mihai, and he survived all
Romanian dictatorship, from the royal one to the legionaire one,
then to the Antonescian and finally to the comunist one. He was
born under Franz Iosef and died under Ceausescu.
Nicolae Margineanu studied psychology at the University of Cluj
and he had post-university studies in Leiptzig, Berlin, Hamburg,
Paris, London, then he had a Rockefeller scholarship for two years
in great American universities: Harvard, Yale, Columbia, Chicago
and Duke.
He returned to Romania and became a professor at the University
of Cluj.
He was arrested in 1948 and spent 16 years in prisons as: Malmaison,
Jilava, Pitesti, Aiud and Gherla.
