UN PSIHOLOG IN TEMNITELE COMUNISTE

Profesorul Nicolae Margineanu a fost unul dintre reprezentantii importanti ai scolii romanesti de psihologie in perioada interbelica si de dupa razboi, in pofida celor 16 ani de detentie comunista. Sunt prezentate activitatea sa in cadrul asociatiilor Amicii Americii si Romano-Americana din Ardeal in perioada 1945-1947, declaratii si interogatorii semnate de el in timpul anchetelor din beciurile Sigurantei, ulterior ale Securitatii si procesul Marii Finante (27 octombrie - 2 noiembrie 1948), in urma caruia a fost condamnat la 25 de ani de munca silnica. De asemenea, volumul cuprinde o biografie a fratelui sau, Petru, ucis de Securitate, marturii si documente din arhiva CNSAS privind consecintele condamnarii politice si metodele represive utilizate de Securitate asupra sotiei si copiilor lui Nicolae Margineanu. Sunt documente cutremuratoare, menite sa completeze informatiile despre modul cum un regim cu porniri criminale a actionat impotriva acelor intelectuali care au refuzat sa colaboreze cu reprezentantii sai.



NICOLAE MARGINEANU

Professor Nicolae Margineanu has been one of the important representatives of the Romanian school of psychology in the period between the two world-wars and after the war, despite his 16 years of communist detention. Here are presented his activity at the Friends of America Association (Amicii Americii) and the Romanian-American Association from Ardeal between 1945-1947, the declarations and interrogations signed by him during the inquests from the dungeons of the Security and the lawsuit of the Big Finance (27 October – 2 November 1948), which condamned him to 25 years of forced labour. Also, the volume includes a biography of his brother, Petru, killed murdered by the Security, testimonials and documents from the CNSAS archives regarding the consequences of the political conviction and the repressive methods used by the Security on Nicolae Margineanu’s wife and children. There are staggering documents designated to complete the information about the way in which a regime with criminal tendencies has acted against those intellectuals who refused to collaborate with its representatives.
